Can a dress make you feel different?
This one does.
There’s something about the deep yellow lace that catches your attention.
Something about the length and the movement of the lace as you move.
Maybe it’s the comfort of having a slip made into shorts that helps hold the dress into place.
Or the option to stitch up the deep- v or layer over any top or bralette to make it your own.
There is just something special about this dress and we love it✨
Oh- and it comes in new colour all the time, just incase you need a few.

Floral Flutter Sleeve Dress
This past week Keely & myself had the opportunity to show off some of Tonic’s newest spring clothes! There are so many pretty prints and silhouettes this season– be it red floral slips or flow-y chiffon trenches, there is something for every girl this spring. I hope you like them as much as I do!
On Keely: Black leggings, Crop Top, Lace Kimono, Velvet Hat, Fringe Earrings & Embroidered Handheld Bag.
Finding your own look for spring is easy after a long white winter. We are always looking for something that stands out, even if its black we look for a soft texture or shiny fabric. this kimono is the best example, it has so many tassels that make it fun to wear and move around. Sometimes it takes a few weeks for us to wrap our head around the seasons changing, dig out your favourite dress from last summer and find something fresh and new to wear with it, you can never go wrong with a fun kimono, but there are so many cute bombers available this year so if you feel like you would get more wear out one go for it, pop it on over your favourite dress. Browse our new arrivals to get inspired.
Long lace dresses that let you move freely are essential for freshening up your winter wardrobe. These lace dresses have shorts underneath instead of a slip and a deep v in the front that makes them so fun to layer with lace bralettes or velvet tanks.
Kimonos and bombers are everywhere this spring so we like to wear them with anything. Part of expressing your personal style is to wear what you like.
We had the cutest customer in the shop yesterday, looking for a red dress to wear to her Chinese New Year celebration. She was telling us all about her families expectations for her and how she was reluctant to follow their traditions. Yet, there she was, going out of her way to hunt for the perfect dress. She may have pushed the boundaries on her hair colour and accessories, but she wanted to make her family happy.
So much of who are is based in us either following these expectations or running from them.
It’s when we take a stand and do what works for us, but still borrow from these deep traditions that we really become our own person.
This is the sparkle in someones eye, the extra glow they have that make them one of a kind, the type of person who loves who they’ve become. So make sure you are you!
We love dresses!
Sometimes winter has us in a mood, and it seems only appropriate to dress to match. Luckily for us, it’s impossible to go wrong with black- it goes with everything, and is appropriate for pretty much any occasion. Our little black dress is always there for us, but there are a couple other pieces we couldn’t live without.
A black hoodie is a major staple in our wardrobe- although a typically casual piece, it can be dressed up when paired over a silky romper with heels.
The black hoodie is also a great piece for layering- we love the look of hoods hanging from underneath black leather jackets or silky bombers (not to mention the extra warmth that it adds is a major bonus).
Black leggings are also a definite wardrobe staple- pretty sure everyone owns a pair of these!
We love these particular leggings because the knee slit adds an extra bit of edge to any outfit, without sacrificing comfort. Pair it with this black turtleneck crop top (or white if you want to change things up!) for a simply chic look.
We also have amazing fleece lined leggings for those who need that extra warmth in these chilly months.
